How Long Does it Take

The most common question we get is “how long will it take to rank my website”. Based on my experience of ranking websites in Guelph, about 1 to 2 months for keywords that have low competition. 4 to 5 months for a website in Guelph that has moderate competition. Lastly, I would estimate about 1 year for keywords that have heavy competition.

Can you Make it Faster?

If you have been offered by an SEO company to rank a highly competitive keyword in a very short timeframe, our advice would be to monitor that closely. Usually when someone says that they can get a competitive keyword to rank extremely quickly, it means that they could be using blackhat techniques to try and speed the process up. While this may work for the time being, it also means your website runs at a higher risk of getting delisted by Google, and in more extreme cases, a Google ban.
