Easter in Guelph (and Area) – 2017
There are many special Easter events happening before and during the Easter long weekend.
On April 8th, through the City of Guelph leisure and recreation classes you can learn how to decorate an Easter egg using the traditional Ukrainian folk designs wax-resist (batik) method.
Also on the 8th, Fourchette Culinary Academy is having an Easter treats cooking class for toddlers.
Dog owners can take their pups to Petsmart on the 8th for Petsmart’s Critter Trail Scavenger Hunt and a photo with the Easter Bunny.
On April 13th, the Easter Bunny is visiting Tiny Town and hiding eggs.
On Good Friday, the Fergus Bounce Indoor Playground is having an exciting Easter hunt. They have divided up the times for 1 to 5 year olds and 6 to 12 year olds. Event ticket also allows you to play on their indoor playground.
At various Guelph Public Library locations on the 15th, there will be special spring and Easter-themed story times and activities.
The first annual North End Easter egg hunt is taking place on the 15th. This egg hunt is being sponsored by Dustin Davis, an At Home Group Realty Inc. real estate broker. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and if you plan on attending please pre-register.
The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is organizing fun events all Easter weekend. Some of the events include a scavenger hunt and an Easter-themed story time.
You can enjoy eating breakfast with the Easter Bunny on the morning of the 15th at Trinity United Church with Optimist Club of Guelph.
All Easter weekend, Springridge Farm (in Milton) is having an Easter Festival.
The Waterloo Region Museum has multiple holiday events happening. Most of these events require you to pre-register.
On the 15th the Stone Road Mall is having a special event. Children can meet the Easter Bunny, ride the train through the mall, and receive a free chocolate egg.
In Kitchener on the 15th, you can enjoy a special Easter egg hunt, Funworx Indoor Playground play and meeting the Easter Bunny. The City of Kitchener is also organizing an outdoor Easter scavenger hunt. The Market in Kitchener having a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny and other activities.
For more out of town Easter egg hunts you can go to Elora (put on by the Elora Cooperative Preschool), or Hamilton (put on by the Wind Dancer Pony Rescue Foundation).
Easter brunch is happening 10am to 3pm on the 16th at the Guelph Country Club and Jesse’s On the Green.
